When you travel with Orlova, not only will you see all the natural icons of the South Island, such as Mount Cook, and Hanmer Springs, the stunning lakes, parks and waterfalls. We also include several complementary activities and experiences as part of your tour.

We have carefully designed our itineraries to showcase New Zeland's scenic beauty and fascinating attractions. Importantly we also take time to relax and appreciate our surrounding at a leisurely pace.

A Maori cultural evening, a scenic flight, train travel, jet boating, river cruising and whale watching and all entry fees, as well as many other unique and entertaining experiences are all included.  So no dipping into your back pocket, you know what the tour costs will be before you leave home, and no sudden shocks when you get back to your credit card bills.

Weather-dependant activities that have to be postponed will be re-scheduled to be included in your tour where possible.

There are also extra activities that you might like to participate in during the course of your 6/12 or 18 day Orlova experience. We will be only too pleased to alter our existing itineraries and include other points of interest and tailor the tour to your specific needs. Additional activities such as bungy jumping, hang gliding, extra scenic flights, fishing excursions and your choice of dozens of other active and more relaxing pursuits at your own expense.

CHRISTCHURCH TO KAIKOURA
You will board the luxurious Orlova South, settle back into the most comfortable seat ever found on board a coach and start the day with a scenic tour of beautiful Christchurch following the Avon River. Today you will stop at the International Antarctic Centre, enjoy lunch at a local winery, visit a fishing village an stop off at an increadible picturesque lavender farm. Experience Whale watching and Maori cultural lessons

Blenheim is the fruit and wine capital of New Zealand.KAIKOURA TO BLENHEIM
Leaving Kaikoura travel along brilliant coastal roads en-route for Blenheim, in the Marlborough region, the fruit and wine capital of New Zealand. Vineyards, orchards, farmed green-lipped mussels and salmon make this a gourmet's delight.  Pause for a coffee to take in the natural beauty, sample scrumptious goodies along the way, walk along the beach.  QUEENSTOWN TO FOX GLACIER
Sight seeing tour of Arrowtown, Cromwell and Wanaka, through dramatic scenery where relics of the old gold mining days are plentiful, get a glimpse of Mt Aspiring towering above a magnificent glacier-scupted wilderness. The journey through Mt Aspring National Park a major nature refuge, snaking along the wide Haast River towards the Tasman Sea.

Today is a day to discover the Glacier Alpine region, an alien world of eternal snows and thrusting summits, but exceedingly beautiful to behold.

An early start (but you wont mind this today) because its a majestic road trip to Milford Sounds that will take your breathe away, with pleasant surprises in the form of anenues of beech trees, golden tussock flats, stony creeks and mirror lakes.

During your Milford Cruise expect close encounters with nature, vast remote wilderness, and an underwater observatory.  Settle back once again in total comfort as we continue our journey to Queenstown, regarded far and wide as the 'Adventure Capital of the World' with skiing in season and dozens of adventurous and gentler activities to be enjoyed.

Time to gather your thoughts after four fun filled and memorable days, today you can take your own pace.  Choose one of the activities from the option list and enjoy. The evening starts off with a transfer to the Gondola for a delicious meal and cultural evening.

Larnach Castle, Dunedin.DUNEDIN-INVERCARGILL
2 days to discover Dunedin, the oldest city in New Zealand, known as the Edinburgh of the South, renowned for its magnificent early architecture and the largest mainland albatross colony in the world. Here you are surrounded by some of the world's best trout fishing rivers.

No early start today unless you really want one,departing approx 11am our journey passes through Balclutha, through the Catlins to Bluff, New Zealand's oyster port, where you have the opportunity to capture wildlife filled bays, native bush, and visit Stirling point. No tour would be complete with out a visit to Burt Munroe exhibition "The World's fastest Indian",  and the largest display of Tuatara.

After a relazed breakfast we head West over the rolling hills following the well-named Southern Scenic Route passing through Wallacetown, Riverton to Tuatapere.  Your Fiordland adventure begins around mid-day cruising Lake Manapouri, coach trip over Wilmot pass, a healthy picnic lunch followed by a serene almost ghostly overnight cruise on Doubtful Sounds.  *itinerary changes may apply. 

DOUBTFUL SOUNDS - TE ANAU
Real Journeys will deliver you back dockside at Manapouri, where you will board the Orlova and hopefully have some amazing stories to tell your hosts Richard and Raewyn while driving to Te Anau.  Some free time to relax, catch your breath before dinner.
